Therapy with Sy

Sy Bedrick, LCSW, (they/them, zie/zim, fae/faem) is a clinical social worker practicing privately with supervision from Kira Keenan, LICSW, MEd. Sy is currently accepting new therapy clients at sliding scale self-pay rates for individuals and people in relationships. 

 

Sy earned their Masters of Clinical Social Work and a Certificate in Child and Adolescent Trauma at Rhode Island College. They have a diverse range of professional experience, including case management with LGBTQ+ youth and young adults, clinical therapy with adults, work with local nonprofit social support organizations, and disability and workers rights advocacy.

 

Sy also worked as a makeup artist in the film and television industry in NY for nearly a decade, and trained in intimacy coordination and direction. They've been a social service provider, theater artist and producer, jeweler, and medical prosthetics technician.

Offerings​​​

• Private therapy via telehealth (videochat) for individuals and people in relationships​

  • Sliding scale self pay rates are as follows:​

  • Sessions with individuals: $20, $60, $100, $200, $350

  • Sessions with two or more people: $40, $100, $180, $350

It is my goal to make therapy accessible, which is why I have a wide range of rates available to choose from. 
 

I am not in network with any insurance companies but I do offer superbills (receipts) which can be submitted to insurance for possible reimbursement for out of pocket costs. Clients who are able to pay higher rates subsidize slots for clients who have a lower income. I encourage folks to consider what rate and frequency of appointments (weekly or biweekly) fits their needs best, and to select a rate they can sustainably pay without additional stress. If a client's financial situation changes, they are welcome to discuss changing rates with me at any time.

  • A virtual peer support group for those on the ADHD(+) spectrum looking to build community, find support, and share challenges and celebrate experiences of neurodiversity. Meets Monday nights at 7pm.
